Entrée Gold Provides Oyu Tolgoi Funding Update

July 29, 2013

Vancouver, B.C., July 29, 2013 – Entrée Gold Inc. (TSX:ETG; NYSE MKT:EGI; Frankfurt:EKA - "Entrée" or the "Company") reports that Turquoise Hill Resources announced today that they had “received notification from the Government of Mongolia that project financing for Oyu Tolgoi will now require approval by the Mongolian Parliament.  Turquoise Hill continues to engage with Rio Tinto and the Government of Mongolia to finalize project financing. Due to the need for parliamentary approval, it is likely to take some time to gain the necessary consent. As a result, funding and development of the Oyu Tolgoi underground will be delayed until matters with the Mongolian Government can be resolved and a new timetable has been agreed. Operations of the open-pit mine, commissioning of the concentrator and the ongoing export of concentrate from Oyu Tolgoi will continue.”

Turquoise Hill has previously announced that “project financing requires the support of the Government of Mongolia and is subject to the approval of the Oyu Tolgoi Board of Directors, which includes representatives from the Mongolian Government.”

The financing is required to develop the underground portion of the Oyu Tolgoi mining complex. First development production from the Entrée–Oyu Tolgoi LLC joint venture portion of the underground mine is currently projected to be in 2019.
